4 Day Morocco Desert Tour from Fes

After breakfast in your hotel/Riad in Fes, your driver/guide will pick you up at around 07:30 a.m. for a memorable 4-day desert tour from Fes driving through the charming city of Ifrane, which is often called the “Switzerland City of Morocco”. You will then include a short break in the cedar forest of Azrou that hosts a colony of “Barbary Macaques”.

After lunch in Midelt, you will continue on the track crossing the Atlas Mountains, the same town of Rich before arriving in the impressive Todra Gorge (canyon) where we will spend our first night in a charming Riad.

After a healthy breakfast in your Riad, our 4-day desert tour from Fes will take us further south driving through Tinejdad, the Tafilalet Oasis, and Erfoud before arriving in the majestic Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi. Now, you will leave the car for an adventurous camel ride experience while enjoying the breathtaking sunset view.

The camel trek will take you to the luxury desert camp by the feet of the golden dunes where you will receive a warm welcome from the staff members with tea and pastries. Have dinner in a romantic restaurant followed by a session of music before culminating the day with a relaxing sleep in your ensuite tent.

Wake up in the early morning to attend the stunning view of the sunrise atop the dunes. After breakfast, you will explore the desert area starting with a visit to the local “Khettaras”, which is a sophisticated system of irrigation consisting of conveying water from long distances by digging wells and building an underground canal that interconnects them.

You will tour around the dunes and visit a local nomad family in their tent to learn about their unique style of life.  After lunch, you will head north to Midelt passing by the palm valley of Ziz.

Today, you will head back to Fes passing by Azrou and Ifrane marking the end of our 4-day Morocco desert tour from Fes and hoping you had a memorable experience.
