6-Day Morocco Desert Tour from Casablanca

Our 6-day Morocco desert tour adventure begins in Casablanca, the country’s largest city and economic center. 

After your arrival, we will visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, which stands majestically on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. 

We will spend your afternoon exploring the refreshing Corniche area before enjoying a relaxed dinner at a local restaurant before heading to your hotel for a restful night.

Begin your day with a drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its well-preserved mosaics and grand columns.

After exploring this historical marvel, we’ll continue to Meknes, the Ismaili capital. Our trip covers key sites including the grand Bab Al-Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the impressive Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. 

The day concludes with a scenic drive to Fes, where we’ll spend the night in a charming traditional Riad.

The third day is dedicated to discovering Fes, one of the world’s oldest cities. With a local guide, we will navigate the winding streets of the Fes Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 

The next stop is the iconic Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the historic Medrasa Bouanania, the beautifully crafted Najjarine Fountain, and the bustling tanneries.

We will then explore the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the oldest continuously operating university in the world.

The day ends with a tour of the Mellah, the Jewish quarter, and enjoying panoramic views of Fes from an ancient fortress.

Prepare for a stunning transition as you drive south from Fes to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. 

On the way, we will stop at Ifrane, famously known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its alpine architecture and cool climate. 

We will continue through the Cedar Forest, where you might spot Barbary macaques. After a stop in Midelt for lunch, we’ll traverse the scenic Ziz Valley en route to Merzouga. 

Here, you’ll get to experience the thrill of a camel ride across the golden dunes of the Sahara, culminating in a breathtaking desert sunset.

Your overnight stay in a luxury desert camp promises an unforgettable night under the stars, complete with Berber music and a campfire dinner.

The fifth day starts with the mesmerizing Sahara sunrise before returning to Merzouga. 

Our drive takes you through Rissani, known for its lively souk, and then onto Erfoud, famed for its fossilized marble. 

We’ll continue to the Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved dramatic canyons into the mountains, a favorite spot for rock climbers. 

You will enjoy a leisurely lunch and then journey to the Dades Valley, where you will stop to admire the “monkey fingers” rock formations.

The day ends with a dinner and an overnight stay in a cozy hotel/Riad.

Your final day takes you through the Rose Valley, which is celebrated for its annual Rose Festival. 

Next, our drive takes you through the palm groves of Skoura to Ouarzazate, where you’ll visit the famous film studios. 

Then, we’ll explore the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been featured in numerous films and TV series, including Game of Thrones.

We’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, making stops for lunch and photos along the way. 

Finally, we’ll arrive in Marrakech, where your tour concludes with a transfer to your accommodation or the airport.
