Please arrive at the Tarifa Ferry Terminal at approximately 8:00 AM to check in for the standard 9:00 AM ferry to Tangier. Arriving about one hour before departure allows time for check-in, passport control and boarding.

Your boarding passes and final instructions will be sent before the experience. Ferry schedules are controlled by the ferry company and can change according to the season, operational conditions or weather.

Travelers are responsible for reaching Tarifa Port unless a private transfer from their hotel or another Spanish city has been added to the booking.

Board the ferry for the crossing across the Strait of Gibraltar. The journey normally takes approximately one hour, although sailing and port procedures can take longer.

Morocco may be one hour behind Spain during parts of the year. For this reason, a ferry departing Tarifa at 9:00 AM may also show an arrival around 9:00 AM local Moroccan time. Always follow the local times printed on your confirmed ferry tickets.

When immigration formalities are conducted onboard, have your passport ready and complete the Moroccan entry procedure during the crossing. This helps avoid unnecessary delays after arriving in Tangier. Procedures can change, so follow the instructions provided by the ferry staff.

After disembarking and completing the required port procedures, walk to the terminal exit. Your private guide will be waiting with a sign displaying your name.

Tangier Ville Port is located beside the old city, making it a convenient arrival point for a day tour. After a short welcome and itinerary explanation, begin the panoramic sightseeing section in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

Drive through the Ville Nouvelle, Tangier’s modern city centre, and learn how the city developed during its period as an International Zone. Pass broad avenues, historic architecture and neighbourhoods associated with the diplomats, writers, artists and entrepreneurs who were drawn to Tangier during the twentieth century.

Continue through residential districts such as Iberia and California, known for villas, diplomatic residences and views over the city. Your guide will introduce Tangier’s unique position between Morocco, Europe, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

When timing and conditions permit, stop at Perdicaris Park for a short walk or photographs among its wooded coastal scenery. Continue to Cap Spartel, the dramatic headland northwest of Tangier.

From this area, enjoy expansive views across the Strait of Gibraltar and learn about the historic Cap Spartel lighthouse and the maritime significance of the surrounding waters. Although it is often described as the meeting point of the Atlantic and Mediterranean, your guide will explain the geography and local stories without reducing the site to a simple photo stop.

Enjoy included snacks and refreshments before continuing along the Atlantic coast.

Stop near the coast for a short camel ride and photographs. The camel experience is included but entirely optional. Travelers who prefer not to ride may relax, walk nearby or simply enjoy the coastal setting.

The ride is brief and intended as a light cultural experience rather than a desert trek. Guests with back, hip or mobility concerns should avoid riding. Participation is subject to local safety conditions, and children require appropriate adult supervision.

Continue to the Hercules Caves, one of the best-known natural and cultural attractions outside Tangier. The cave complex has openings toward both the land and sea, including a famous sea opening often compared to the outline of the African continent.

Your guide will share the site’s geology, history and legends associated with Hercules. Admission fees are not included, allowing you to decide whether you would like to enter.

Return toward central Tangier for an included lunch at a local Moroccan restaurant. Depending on the selected menu and dietary requirements, the meal may feature dishes such as Moroccan salads, tagine, couscous, grilled meat or fish, and seasonal accompaniments.

After lunch, explore Tangier’s historic Kasbah and Medina on foot with your private guide. Walk through narrow lanes, residential passages and small squares while learning how the old city continues to function as a living neighbourhood.

In the Kasbah, see the exterior of Dar El Makhzen, the former sultan’s palace that now houses the Kasbah Museum. You may enter the museum if time and opening hours allow; admission is not included.

Continue downhill through the Medina. Pass neighbourhood mosques, a traditional bakery, local food stalls and a hammam while learning about everyday customs and community life. Your guide can also introduce you to genuine local craft shops based on your interests. There is no obligation to purchase anything.

Walk through Petit Socco, once an important meeting place for merchants, travelers and international residents. Depending on timing and opening hours, pass or visit the Tangier American Legation, a historic symbol of Moroccan-American relations. Finish near Grand Socco, the lively square connecting the old Medina with modern Tangier.

At the appropriate time, your guide will accompany you back to Tangier Ville Port for the return ferry to Tarifa. The selected sailing will be confirmed before the tour and may vary according to the operating timetable and the option booked.

Please keep your passport and boarding pass accessible for port and immigration procedures. After arriving in Tarifa, the experience ends at the ferry terminal unless a private transfer to your Spanish accommodation has been booked separately.
